About

Hi! My name is Moona, I’m 24 years old, and I’m from the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. I’m currently living my dream of traveling around the world as a professional kitesurfer.

My dad taught me how to kite when I was 14. I was immediately hooked and fell in love with riding waves. Since then, I’ve learned almost all forms of surfing- from longboarding and SUPing, to short boarding, and now foiling. My favorite moments have been finding hidden gems (towns, waves, people) all around the world, learning from the ocean, and being blown away by the beauty of mama earth. The most memorable have been sharing these experiences with people I’ve met along the way.

When I'm not in the water, you might find me making healthy food, designing tshirts, playing a Jack Johnson song on the guitar, or taking photos of the sunset. My dream is to one day have a veggie garden and an avocado tree... on a single-use-plastic-free Earth. My weakness is açai bowls. Also puppies, I must pat all of them. My goal is to inspire others to get outside and find beauty and fun in nature.
